Tigger Toos
(12 to 18 months)
Empahsis for our toddlers is on verbal skill development, establishment of self-help skills, and the promotion of exploring through play. We use a Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved program (Healthy Beginnings) to create and implement activities that further stimulate and challenge each child. Parent communication a top priority through daily reports that depict feeding and nap times, and describe daily activities.
Planned activities emphasize physical skills through focus on elements such as clapping hands, stacking, and finger painting. Our toddlers build on language and social skills through songs, story books, and music and movement activities. Upon leaving the room, the children typically begin to use single words, have the ability to adapt to being in a group setting, prefer a set daily schedule, and can drink from a sippy cup.
